The operational need

Make bar inventory fast enough to do every night.

Traditional bottle counts are slow, disconnected from sales and difficult to compare across dates.

PourCue turns closing into a direct workflow: scan a bottle, enter full bottles, select the open-bottle level from 0.0 to 1.0 and continue. The system converts every count into volume automatically.

Connected controls

Count, sales, recipes and deliveries in one record.

  • Carry the approved closing inventory into the next business date.
  • Connect POS drinks sold to recipe-level expected alcohol usage.
  • Upload and confirm delivery invoices before inventory changes.
  • Compare expected and physical inventory in bottles, milliliters, ounces and dollars.
  • Locate bottle purchase price, cost per ounce and drink margin.
  • Search daily, weekly, monthly and custom closing history.

Product decision

One fast staff flow. Clear management evidence.

The design keeps nightly work simple while preserving the detail a manager needs.

Staff stay focused on scanning and counting. Managers can review deliveries, waste, comps, expected usage, physical inventory and unexplained variance without crowding the closing screen.

My contribution

From a bar problem to a working product.

I defined the inventory logic, closing sequence, universal bottle-level method, date history, delivery workflow and responsive interface. The product combines operations analysis, profitability control and practical user-experience design.
